  1. What is Strut Your Mutt? This is a national event with Best Friends Animal Society, and every dollar raised by our team goes straight to our mission to build a positive, inclusive foster community. View our programs!

  2. Who receives the donations? The $15 registration fee to join our team goes straight to Foster Dogs Inc, including all donations thereafter to your participant page. All team members are listed on our team page [you can customize your profile to include a photo and description of your choosing. We’ll offer bio templates once you join!] All donations are tax-deductible and go through Best Friends Animal Society; we are a registered Network Partner with them.

  3. Do I need to have a dog to participate? Not at all. You just need to love animals and want to support them! Since it’s virtual, any species of pet can participate safely.

  4. Is this just for NYC folks? This is for anyone around the country! 10/24 will be a virtual Strut Your Mutt Day with Best Friends Animal Society, and we will share photos and videos of our teams on their mini pack walks, around the US! Want to host a small pack walk in your area, with family and friends? Join the team and get in touch, by 10/8! strut [at] fosterdogsnyc.com

  5. What if I can't donate much, and/or don't want to do lots of fundraising? There is no requirement to raise money, and the only fee is the $15 registration.

  6. If I want to donate, should I also join the team? What’s that about? We will be giving fun prizes to team members who achieve certain goals, including an exclusive prize for those who raise over $1,000. Being on the team also allows you to unlock our fundraising tool kit of ideas, and be part of our team Facebook group. We also are hosting in-person small-group pack walks around the country, only open to people on the team (join to host a pack walk of your own!).
