Foster Education Series: What to Expect When You're Fos'pecting

  • Animal Haven 200 Centre Street New York, NY, 10013 United States (map)

[SOLD OUT] 200 Centre Street at Animal Haven Shelter.

The first of our multi-part free workshop series focuses on the essentials of fostering. Did you recently sign up for the Foster Roster? Just adopted a snuggle buddy and don't know what you're doing? Interested in fostering, but don't know where to start? Well, look no further than this free, informative workshop coming at you from Foster Dogs. This workshop aims to help folks like you prepare for what’s expected when fostering/adopting a dog, how to deal with challenges, and essentially how to "buckle up" for the rewarding journey ahead.

Snack on pizza and sip on a beer while our guest facilitator, ASPCA's Rachel Cohen Maso, empowers you to be the best foster/rescue dog caretaker you can be!

Note: adoptable dogs, currently under Animal Haven’s care, will be in attendance so that we can model training techniques and strategies. This is a great opportunity to not only learn and practice key dog training skills from professionals, but also connect with folks in the local dog rescue and foster community here in NYC. We love your pups, but please leave them at home for this event.
