Foster Dogs Love the Beach, Too!

Life’s a beach when you’re a foster dog! Thanks to some creative folks in Brooklyn, a group of lucky foster dogs got a chance to feel like they were having a day at the beach – indoors! Each of these dogs was up for adoption at the time of their shoot last week, and would you believe some of them have already found their forever homes? Foster Dogs invited eleven dogs in foster care to Gowanus Brooklyn, and had the best afternoon!

We’re so grateful to @keikolynn, Erin Solari, Holly Wang, & @thisfellow for hosting us as Brooklyn Brigade. And huge thanks to Emily Davis for your photography and vision! This wouldn’t have been possible without the seven participating rescue groups and their volunteers/foster parents who brought the dogs to this fabulous beachy shoot.

Thanks to your donations, were able to pay for transportation for those dogs/caretakers who needed assistance (Why shouldn’t larger dogs join for these opportunities, just ‘cuz they can’t ride the subway?).

DONATE to Foster Dogs to support our efforts to increase the rate of foster care for shelter dogs, and to support dozens of rescue groups in improving their foster programs. We’re always working on fun, festive, and creative ways to encourage people to foster or adopt. Our work is far from done, but each project we do makes a difference to those dogs and rescue groups involved.
